One reason you might not be getting many egg lays, is that without an oviraptor, the egg-lay chances are 17 minutes apart.Įach time you leave your dinos for more than 2 minutes, they go into stasis, and their active egg-lay timer resets.I feel my experiences do not reflect this. So let's say you login, fart around your base for 10 minutes, jump on a ptera to go run an errand. IF you think Dilo eggs are hard to get, atleast they lay them, my mated pair of turtles in 3 days of playtime have never laid a single egg, the only turtle eggs I've found where lying on a random beach and I've had to jump off my pterra grab the egg and jump back on and fly off (do the same with bronto and Trex eggs too). You come back, hang out for 10 minutes again, get bored, jump on your ptera and leave again. You come back, stare at dilo butts for 15 minutes, give up, and log off. If you had stayed in your base continuously, you would have gotten 42 egg lay chances. So what I do, is login, and if I was going to stay in my base, I'd start a timer.
After 17 minutes, I'd go run my errands, all of them. Then come back, restart the timer, and do work in the base. If 17 minutes seems like a long time, get an oviraptor, they decrease that time by 33% (11 minutes and ~20 seconds).So I was on a parasaur hunt which my dilophosaurus poisie, and as soon as we saw one, she darted at it. I didnt have enough time to tell her not to. We got to the bottom but the parasaur wasn’t to be found anywhere.
